About puntacana.travel

Updated October 30, 2026 The sources behind each number and the dates beside them

Your Punta Cana plans start at your resort. Today's waves off Saona help you weigh a boat day. Tour details cover what's included and your pickup point; whale season sets the timing for Samaná.

What this site is

This site helps you plan days from your Punta Cana resort. The sea and weather can change by the hour. Tour details can change by the day. Park rules change less often.

The desk has read 3,141 listings; 285 meet the review threshold. You get 114 selected tours in 12 lists. Each list gets a full review every 2 weeks. Read How we choose to see what earns a place and what gets left out.

What this site is not

  • This isn't a booking site. You book on the booking page at its price. A booking through a button earns this site a commission; you pay the same, as the disclosure explains.
  • Paid placement isn't available. An operator can't buy a place in the lists or pay for a better review.
  • This isn't a tourist board or your resort's desk. Missing inclusions matter when you compare tours. The site spells out what a trip leaves out and when it isn't worth your day.

Where the numbers come from

The airport weather PUJ's own weather report supplies temperature and wind; the desk reads it every 30 minutes. Check the report's time beside the figures. Your resort may differ; the reading covers the airport.
The sea off Saona A marine model supplies the wave height off Saona in feet; it isn't a buoy reading. The figure averages the largest 33% of waves. Some waves are higher, so it can't promise you a smooth crossing.
Saona and the parks Ministry records place Saona in Cotubanamá National Park; ministry pages cover Isla Catalina and Los Haitises. Scape Park's own pages give attraction hours: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. They also explain why Hoyo Azul doesn't have a separate admission ticket.
Tour prices and ratings Each catalog listing is read on its own. The lowest price is reread daily for an option running within 10 weeks, or in its season when a tour runs later. Your date may cost more. Ratings come from the booking platform and Tripadvisor, each with a date.
The airport and entry Airport details come from PUJ's own pages. Government pages explain the free E-Ticket and the $10 tourist card. For a round trip, you need 2 E-Ticket QR codes. The card covers up to 30 days and is included in air tickets issued outside the Dominican Republic.
The photo sources Freely licensed photos have an author and license on the photo credits page. Tour photos come from the operators' listings.
