Route

How does the day work?

Your convoy leaves the ranch for farm tastings and a cave swim before the final beach break at Macao.

  1. 75 min
    1. ATV ranch

The transfer brings your group to the ranch for a safety briefing. You then follow the guide along rough trails in a convoy.

  2. 30 min
    2. Organic farm

The farm tasting takes 20 minutes. Coffee and chocolate are included before a 25-minute drive to the next stop.

  3. 30 min
    3. Water cave

The water cave visit takes 20 minutes. You can swim before the 25-minute drive toward Macao Beach.

  4. 45 min
    4. Macao Beach

Macao Beach is your last activity stop. After time on the sand, the convoy returns to the ranch for the transfer back.

The beach break takes 20 minutes before a 25-minute ride back to the ranch. A 30-minute transfer then returns you to your pickup location.

Pickup and meeting point

  • Accommodation coverage: Pickup serves most nearby hotels and Airbnb stays. If your accommodation isn't within reach, a nearby meeting point can be arranged.
  • Bávaro and Punta Cana: Nearby hotel pickups run at 7 a.m. or 10 a.m., with the afternoon collection at 1 p.m. Your chosen departure determines the pickup.
  • Macao pickups: Macao collections are at 8:10 a.m. or 11:10 a.m., with the afternoon pickup at 2:10 p.m. These aren't the buggy departure times.
  • Waiting point: Arrive 5 minutes early at the place your hotel assigns. The driver can wait only 5 minutes, so the lobby isn't always the right place.

Before you book

  • The family buggy needs three or four people with at least two adult tickets. The double buggy requires two adults.

Fit

Is this tour right for you?

Two adults can use the double buggy to share the driving during a 4-hour outing. You both get time at the wheel. It's a fit if you want farm tastings and swim stops without needing a meal included.

Dreams Come True's ATV lets you swap handlebars on a shared quad, from $48 per person for 2 to 14. The buggy and cruise combo adds afternoon reef snorkeling, from $129 per adult.

Means: Choose the double buggy when both travelers are adults and want to take turns, with food paid for separately.

Who it's not for

  • An adult and child seeking the double buggy option
  • Pregnant travelers
  • Travelers with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health

Good to know

Know before you go

Shared drivers

The family buggy seats three or four people including child passengers. Adults can take turns driving. The double buggy requires two adults.

Fitness limits

Moderate fitness is required for this outing. It isn't recommended during pregnancy or with spinal injuries. Travelers with poor cardiovascular health should also skip this tour, regardless of the vehicle selected.

Personal gear

Sunglasses and bandanas aren't supplied with the ride. Bring your own sunscreen for the outdoor stops. Food and professional photographs also cost extra, so the tastings aren't a full meal.

Pickup appointment

Your hotel or Airbnb may use a nearby meeting point. The driver waits only 5 minutes. You need to be at the assigned place 5 minutes before collection is due.

Party and group

A booking accepts 1 to 30 travelers and requires an adult. The tour group can reach 50. Reserving a family buggy doesn't turn your transfer or the whole route into a private outing.

Cancellation and ticket

Your booking is instant and uses a mobile ticket. Cancellation needs at least 24 hours' notice before departure for a full refund. Your payment isn't refunded if you cancel after that deadline.

People also ask

  • Is lunch part of the GDP EXCURSIONS buggy tour?

No, food is excluded from this 4-hour outing. Product tastings are included along the route. Your tasting stop doesn't replace a booked meal, and professional photos are another separate purchase if you want them.

  • Does GDP EXCURSIONS run buggy tours every day?

Yes, departures run daily at 9 a.m. and noon, with another at 3 p.m. The outing takes 4 hours. Plan around your assigned collection time as well, since hotel pickup happens before the ranch departure.

  • Can GDP EXCURSIONS collect from an Airbnb in Punta Cana?
