Route

How does the day work?

A morning buggy circuit returns you to your hotel before the afternoon boat trip begins.

  1. 20 min
    1. Buggy ranch

Your transfer reaches the buggy ranch for a safety briefing. The guide explains the ride before the group sets off.

  2. 20 min
    2. Organic farm

Rough roads pass homes and plantations on the way to the farm. You taste coffee and chocolate while learning how they're made.

  3. 20 min
    3. Taíno Ecological Park

Taíno Ecological Park provides the freshwater swim on the buggy circuit. The cenote is a break from the dusty trails.

  4. 20 min
    4. Macao Beach

Macao Beach adds a stop beside the limestone cliffs. The route then returns to the ranch before the transfer to your hotel.

  5. 90 min
    5. Your hotel

The hotel break leaves time for lunch and a change of clothes. You don't board the catamaran straight from the buggy ride.

  6. 20 min
    6. Tour Package Punta Cana marina

Your next transfer reaches the marina for boarding. The catamaran has two decks and room for 50 passengers.

  7. 45 min
    7. Punta Cana reef

The boat reaches the reef for guided snorkeling. You swim above coral and fish under the supervision of the crew.

  8. 45 min
    8. Punta Cana natural pool

The natural pool is a shallow swimming stop with a floating bar. Drinks and music continue on the cruise back to the marina.

The catamaran portion lasts 3 hours after the 90-minute hotel interval. Snorkeling and the natural pool each take 45 minutes. The boat returns to the marina before your hotel transfer.

Pickup and meeting point

  • Hotel or rental: Most Punta Cana area hotels have pickup, including Cap Cana and Uvero Alto. Airbnb guests can enter their address when booking for collection or a nearby meeting point.
  • Pickup timing: Hotel pickups begin 30 to 90 minutes before departure. Your details arrive by email before the trip, with the exact time sent again the day before.
  • Own transport: You can meet at the departure ranch yourself. The approach turns off the road toward Miches at Total Energies Macao II, then turns left by the cemetery.
  • Clothes and protection: Bring a swimsuit and water shoes for the swim stops. Sunglasses and a bandana help protect your face during the buggy ride.

Before you book

  • Choose the separate two-day option if you don't want an 8-hour day. Both activities remain part of your booking.

Fit

Is this tour right for you?

This 8-hour combo fits you if you'd like reef snorkeling alongside the buggy driving. The hotel interval leaves time to change clothes. You must be 18 or older to drive. Passengers can be as young as 3.

Canelo's shared buggy keeps the outing to 3 to 4 hours, from $36 per person. Runners' adventure bundle pairs driving with Monkeyland on land, from $209 per buggy for the driver alone.

Means: Choose the shared buggy and boat package on one day if you want both activities without using a second excursion day.

Who it's not for

  • Buggy passengers under 3
  • Drivers under 18
  • Pregnant travelers
  • Travelers with serious heart or respiratory conditions

Good to know

Know before you go

Driver and passenger

Adult tickets cover ages 11 to 85 and child tickets cover ages 3 to 10. Buggy drivers must be at least 18. Your child's adult ticket doesn't give permission to drive.

Clothes for both

Water shoes and a swimsuit are recommended for the water activities. Bring closed-toe shoes and a bandana for the buggy ride. Your towel and sunscreen aren't supplied in the package.

Snorkeling equipment

Snorkeling equipment is included with the cruise. Flippers are available on request. Your gear needs therefore belong in the boat arrangements, even though the day begins with a countryside buggy ride.

Health restrictions

The outing isn't recommended during pregnancy or for travelers with heart or respiratory problems. Other serious medical conditions also make it a poor fit. Your passenger seat doesn't remove the activity restrictions.

Hotel collection

Hotel pickup takes place 30 to 90 minutes before the start. Details arrive by email before the trip and again the previous day. An Airbnb address may use a nearby meeting point.

Booking and refund

One booking accepts 1 to 15 travelers and needs an adult. Your ticket is mobile. Cancellation at least 24 hours before departure is fully refundable, while later cancellation isn't.

People also ask

  • Can you split the Punta Cana buggy and snorkeling combo over two days?

Yes, the two-day option separates the buggy morning and boat afternoon across 2 days. It still combines both activities. Your choice changes how the package fits your stay, rather than giving you a longer continuous day on the boat.

  • Is lunch included in the Punta Cana buggy and cruise combo?

No full meal is included, although the boat serves snacks and fruit. The one-day schedule gives you a 90-minute hotel break for lunch and changing. Plan your meal around that break before returning for the cruise.

  • How long is the boat trip in the Punta Cana buggy combo?

The cruise lasts 3 hours and includes 45 minutes of snorkeling. Another 45 minutes is assigned to the natural pool. It isn't a full afternoon of continuous snorkeling, since your time also covers cruising and other boat activities.

  • Can two people share a buggy on the Punta Cana snorkeling combo?

Yes, the shared option places 2 people in a buggy and allows eligible drivers to take turns. Both drivers must be at least 18. Your child can ride as a passenger without being eligible to drive.
